Maintaining a generous amount of collagen and elastin is vital for maintaining youthful, healthy-looking skin. Micro-needling plays an essential role in an anti-aging treatment plan.
So, what is micro-needling and what does it do?
Micro-needling is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment with a wide range of benefits that can be tailored to help anyone achieve their skin goals, depending on their age, skin type, sun exposure, and a few other factors. It stimulates your body's natural healing response therefore eliminating the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves the skins overall texture and tone, and has even been proven to, tighten and firm the skin.

This is the most advanced facial Bethan offers.
The treatment starts with finding out exactly which products are suitable for your specific skin type.
Starting with a triple cleanse to remove all oils, dirt and excess sebum from the skin.
Following the cleanse an exfoliator is massaged into the face to dig deeper into the pores.
Next up is the treatment mask, this is where you will lay completely relaxed under the facial steamer, this is going to open up the pores and help the mask to penetrate into the skin to deeply nourish the skin.
After the mask is removed a full extraction process will begin, this is where Bethan will manually extract any black head or clogged pores.
This really does make a huge difference to the skins healing process.
Following the extractions, the skin will be prepped ready for the Dermaplaning procedure.
Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation procedure. It requires the use of a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently remove the skin's surface, removing the top-most layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus hair (peach fuzz).
You will be left with super soft skin, a smoother textured skin and overall brighter complexion.
After Dermaplaing you have the option to include DPM8 (microneedling)
Finally to the end the treatment, oils, acids, enzyme serums, and creams are combined to thoroughly hydrate and replenish, leaving your skin feeling firmer, nourished, glowing and hydrated.

Carbon laser peel is a technique that combines the effectiveness of a powerful Pico laser with the goodness of black carbon. It is also known as the ‘Black Doll facial’ owing to its effect on the skin. It helps to regulate the sebum (oil) production in the skin and, thus, is quite effective in tackling oily skin and related issues. It refreshes and rejuvenates the skin and is a great way to get rid of skin issues such as acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. This non-evasive process is a great way to remove dirt, debris and impurities from your skin and give you smooth, soft and firm skin.
The Carbon Peel is a two-phase process. During the first stage, a carbon paste is applied to the skin. At that point, a 1060nm wavelength Pico laser is fired at the dermis, creating controlled thermal harm to stimulate the healing process. This causes collagen, elastin and fibroblast rebuilding to revive the skin and target fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment tightens the pores, making it a perfect treatment for those with enlarged, blocked pores.
When targeting skin break outs and acne prone skin, this high vitality treatment goes directly into the skin membrane and destroys it, reducing skin inflammation and its irritation. Then, the carbon paste is removed using a laser. The carbon is then broken into fine particles and absorbed by the laser. As the carbon is destroyed, dead skin cells are removed alongside with impurities and oils.

I first came to Bethan years ago for eyebrows and make up and it’s been a while since I last visited due to my busy home life not allowing time for any TLC. Really glad I made some time to come (and will hopefully be back for regular appointments to keep working on my skin)!
